LOCATION
Traditionally built on one level, the Croft House is situated in the small crofting township of Garvan on the southern shore of Loch Eil.
The West Highland Railway Line runs along the opposite shore of Loch Eil next to the Road to the Isles and from May to October a steam train travels from Fort William to Mallaig and back.

The view from the cottage is on to Loch Eil, over to Corribeg and Drumbeg nestling below Beinn an t-Sneachda (Hill of the Snow) 2175ft and Aodann Chleireig (Face of the Cleric) with Coille Mhor (Big Forrest) 2083ft and Druim Fada (The Long Back) 2392 ft adjacent.

The cottage is situated near the famous Road to the Isles.

  • Glenfinnan (10 minutes drive) has two hotels/restaurants, café, and small railway museum.
  • Corpach (20 minutes drive) has shops, hotel and pub/restaurant.
  • Fort William (30 minutes drive) has shops, restaurants, museum, leisure centre, etc.
  • Nearby is Ben Nevis (Hill of Heaven/Hill pointing to Heaven) which is Britain's highest mountain at 4406 ft.
